This site is hosted on a RedHat Linux server running Apache

The content is written entirely in XML, which is processed using an XSLT stylesheet on the server using an Apache module called AxKit. AxKit transforms the XML into HTML before sending it to the user's webbrowser which ensures everyone can view the site (not just people with XML enabled browsers).

This ensures a consistent look throughout the site, and keeps all the pages both AAA accessibility approved, and the HTML valid. Maintenance is reduced, as a change to the entire site requires only a change to the XSLT template.
